About Us

We are Sticky Fingers Travel Ltd an Irish company dedicated to providing information to parents who wish to travel with their children. We are a company run by parents and all of our travel is researched by parents for parents. We provide independent and unbiased advice on family friendly holidays and accommodation, activities with children and things to do and see so that you can plan the perfect family holiday.

We have done the research for you on holidays in Ireland and abroad, hotels with kids clubs, adventure holidays, short breaks, self-catering and much more. All of our advice is independent and no holiday or property has paid to be mentioned or is mentioned unless we think that they genuinely offer a good family product or service.

Importantly we also feature real parent’s experiences and reviews in our Parent’s Travel Forum so that you can have your say, get tips from other parents and plan a family holiday that is enjoyable and relaxing for all of you. Children are only young for so long so travel now and enjoy the experience.

We love feedback so do feel free to contact us at info@stickyfingerstravel.com or at 77 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland if you have any tips you would like to pass on or if you have any destinations you would like to see covered.

Check out also the experience of other parents and travellers in our forum and add your own experiences as we are a great believer in real parent's experiences.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We are committed to an early implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility and have chosen Barretstown as our CSR children's charity.

It is hard to imagine the devastation that is caused by the diagnosis of childhood cancer or serious illness. Barretstown is a specially designed camp, based in a castle in Co Kildare, Ireland which provides a life-changing programme which helps these families and children affected by cancer and other serious illnesses along their journey.

Children and families come to Barretstown from Ireland and across Europe. It provides a medically-endorsed programme of arts, adventure and fun activities for which helps them to re-build their confidence, self esteem, trust and courage in a safe, fun and supportive environment.

Hospitals take care of the physical effects of serious illness; Barretstown helps to heal the emotional scars. The children, who come to Barretstown having spent long periods of time in hospital and having been denied ordinary childhood experiences, rediscover their self-esteem, improve their self-image and often find new skills to help cope with their illness.

Children from 7 to 17 are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone and take on challenges as varied as performing on stage or climbing a 40ft tower. Through their successes, the children begin to stop seeing themselves as “sick kids”. The technical term is ‘Therapeutic Recreation’ but, at Barretstown, they call it Serious Fun! Barretstown also runs a series of family camps to support the entire family.
